Refunds

Written material purchased from Longhand Press may be refunded within 30 days of the purchase date. No reason is required and none is asked for.

The window

The period runs for 30 calendar days from the date of purchase, which is the date shown on the confirmation email. A request sent on or before the thirtieth day is within the window, whatever day of the week that falls on.

Having opened, downloaded, or read the material does not affect eligibility.

How to request

Send an email to support@longhandpress.online from the address used at purchase, or naming that address if writing from another. Including the order or receipt number and the approximate purchase date makes the request faster to process, but a refund is not withheld for want of them where the transaction can be identified.

No form is required, no reason need be given, and no explanation is requested. There is no retention step: refund requests are not answered with an offer of an alternative publication, a discount, or an extension.

Timing

The final stage is controlled by the payment provider and the issuing bank, not by Longhand Press. Where a refund has been submitted and has not appeared after 15 business days, the support address can supply the refund reference to take to the bank.

How the refund is issued

Refunds are returned to the original payment method, in the currency of the original transaction, for the full amount paid. Refunds to a different card, account, or person are not made. Where the original method has been closed, the payment provider's own procedure for that situation applies and the support address will explain it.

Currency conversion is handled by the card issuer. Where an exchange rate has moved between purchase and refund, the amount received in the buyer's local currency may differ slightly from the amount originally charged. That difference is a function of the issuer's conversion and is outside the control of Longhand Press.

After a refund

Access to the refunded material ends when the refund is issued, and the licence granted under clause 6 of the terms terminates. Any copy already downloaded should be deleted.

Limits

Payment disputes

Contacting the support address is ordinarily faster than raising a dispute with a card issuer: a chargeback typically takes weeks to resolve, while a refund within the window is submitted within five business days. Raising a chargeback is not prevented and does not waive any right, but a request by email is the quicker route.

Where a charge is unrecognised, it may be appearing under the payment provider's descriptor rather than the name Longhand Press. The support address can identify a transaction from the date and amount before any dispute is raised.

Statutory rights

This policy is offered in addition to, and does not replace or reduce, rights available under applicable law.

Buyers in Brazil retain the rights conferred by the Consumer Protection Code (Lei nº 8.078/1990), including the right of withdrawal under Article 49 for purchases made outside a commercial establishment.

Buyers in the European Union and the United Kingdom retain their consumer rights, including the statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts. Where digital content is supplied immediately with the buyer's express consent, that statutory right may be limited under consumer law — the 30-day policy above is offered regardless, and is broader than the statutory minimum in most cases.

Nothing in this policy affects any remedy available where material is not as described, is not delivered, or is faulty.
